Long distance conveyor is a type of conveying equipment with high efficiency and wide application. It is widely used in automatic production lines such as mining, mining, metallurgical industry, seaport, etc. However, the wear of conveyor belt has always been a major problem perplexing the development trend of belt conveyor.

1.1 wear at vulcanized joints

The wear at the vulcanization joint is generally an adverse effect that must be caused by the raw materials of the conveyor belt itself. Because of its own wear resistance, the demand for hot vulcanization quality is higher than the wear resistance level of the adhesive at the joint. Therefore, it is very easy to cause partial wear of the adhesive at the vulcanized joint, exposing the galvanized steel wire rope core or polyester core.

Generally speaking, the wear of adhesive at the vulcanization joint is a common expression in the whole process of conveyor belt application, and it is also the part where the conveyor belt begins to wear in normal application.

1.2 wear of skirt position

The apron of the material guiding equipment is fixed, the adjustment is unreasonable or the design is unscientific, and the long-distance conveying opportunity makes the apron wear the conveyor belt at work. In order to reduce the scattering of raw materials at the turning position, soft skirts are usually used at the guide position to fill the gap between the guide chute and the conveyor belt. Relative to other positions, the conveyor belt touching the skirt is in relatively obvious wear from beginning to end, which will lead to more prominent wear. It is mainly due to the serious wear of the surface layer close to the boundary on both sides of the conveyor belt, and the vertical operation direction of the conveyor belt will expose the galvanized steel wire rope core or polyester core. Once the galvanized steel wire rope core cocks up, it is very easy to wrap on the buffer idler, resulting in obvious tearing safety accidents and endangering the normal work of the conveyor belt.

1.3 wear of conveyor belt in the middle

The blanking point through the Buchner funnel is relatively certain. Generally speaking, the raw materials that pass through the truncation have been relatively concentrated to the center of the middle and lower reaches of the conveyor belt, giving a certain amount of wear at this position. This kind of wear is actually the traditional fixed wear of conveyor belt.

Wear in the middle of a long-distance conveyor will generally produce two kinds of adverse effects:

First, the conveyor belt is seriously worn at the position of the operation direction, resulting in the wire core of the internal structure falling off or the fracture of the conveyor belt;

The second is the risk of "discount" due to the reduction of the hardness in the middle of the conveyor belt.
